1. The district team championship will be conducted in 3 categories
- CATEGORY 1 ~ LKG - STD 4
- CATEGORY 2 ~ LKG - STD 8
- CATEGORY 3 ~ LKG - STD +2
2. Each team should consist of 3 players from the same school
3. Any Number of teams can participate from the same school
4. The Championship will be played as per the latest FIDE rules
5. Protests, if any, against the decision of the Chief Arbiter shall be made in writing with a Protest fee of Rs. 500/- within 15 minutes of the occurrence of the incident.
6. The Protest fee will not be refunded if the appeal is rejected
7. All participants should produce the school identity card at the time of reporting
8. The maximum points scores will be eligible for overall championship
9. No spot entry allowed.
10. Chess Association Kerala (CAK) registration for the year 2026 is mandatory for all participants. The regular annual registration fee is ₹100 per player.
11. As part of the Chess in School (CIS) promotion initiative, Chess Association Kerala (CAK) is offering a *50% discount on the annual CAK registration fee to all participants of the CIS District Championship. Accordingly, the CAK registration fee will be ₹50 per player.
12. *CAK Registration Fee Refund:* Players who have already completed their CAK registration for the year 2026 will be eligible for a refund of ₹50 per player at the championship venue, upon verification of their existing registration. payment of the full team registration fee of ₹900 is mandatory at the time of entry* irrespective of the CAK registration status of individual players.

15. *Fee Breakdown:*
- Championship Entry Fee: ₹750
- CAK Registration Fee: ₹150 (₹50 × 3 players)
- *Total Registration Fee: ₹900 per team
16. Note: A refund of ₹50 per player will be provided at the venue to players who have already registered with CAK for 2026, subject to verification.
