Tournament Description

The 4th Rotaract RUAS – Children Chess Academy Below 1800 All India FIDE Rated Classical Chess Tournament 2026 is organized by the Rotaract Club of RUAS and Children Chess Academy, sponsored by Rotary Manyata.

Dates: 28th December to 30th December 2026

Venue: Dwaraka Auditorium, M. S. Ramaiah Campus, Bengaluru

Total Prize Fund: ₹6,00,000 across Open, Rating categories (Unrated, 1401–1500, 1501–1600, 1601–1700), Age categories (Under 7, 9, 11, 13, 16 for boys & girls), and Special categories (Women, Veterans, Specially Abled)

Tournament Terms & Conditions

System & Rules: Played according to official FIDE Laws of Chess under the Swiss System over 9 rounds.

Time Control: 30 minutes + 30 seconds increment per move starting from move 1.

Mandatory Registrations:

AICF ID is mandatory for all participants.

KSCA ID is mandatory for all Karnataka-based players.

Entry Fees & Deadlines:

Early Bird Entry Fee: ₹2,699 (valid till 30th October 2026).

Regular Entry Fee: ₹3,000 (valid till 25th December 2026).

Free entry for GMs, IMs, WGMs, and WIMs (boarding/lodging not provided).

Strictly no spot entries allowed.

Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

Electronic Devices & Venue Rules: Bags, mobile phones, smartwatches, wristwatches, or any electronic equipment are strictly prohibited inside the playing arena.

Protests & Appeals: Any appeal against a Chief Arbiter decision must be submitted in writing along with a ₹1,000 deposit fee to the Appeal Committee within 10 minutes of the round/incident. The fee is refunded if the protest is upheld.

Prizes & Certificates:

A player eligible for multiple prizes will receive only the higher prize.

Players must attend the official prize distribution ceremony to receive their awards; otherwise, prizes stand forfeited.

E-Certificates will be issued to all participants.

Accommodation: Boarding and lodging will not be provided by the organizers.

Withdrawals: Players may withdraw at any stage by submitting a written notice to the Chief Arbiter.
